Interview with Eva Kopečná

BC-post-1-education

Eva has been a member of the team of logistic managers at BioCouriers since the beginning of this year. She enjoys her job, being able to use foreign languages, and she looks forward to hearing good news from our clients.
Can you tell us about your role in the transport of reproductive cells? How would you describe your job to the general public?

At Biocouriers, I work as an IVF transport coordinator, communicating with clients as well as IVF clinics, so that the collection and delivery of reproductive cells goes smoothly.

How did you get into the job of IVF transfer coordinator and how long have you been doing it?

I am the most recent addition to the team of IVF coordinators, I became a Coordinator at the beginning of 2025.

What makes working for BioCouriers attractive for you?

I am happy to use my English, which I love so much, in talking with people globally. It is undoubtedly a very attractive and unusual job. When I tell someone what the job of an IVF coordinator is and what I do, most people are surprised.

Do you specialize in shipping reproductive cells to specific countries? Or is the choice of destinations rather random?

I specialize in Bulgaria, where we opened a branch earlier this year. I can also handle cryoshipping all over the world, depending on the demand I receive.

Is there any experience that has stuck in your mind? What are the most interesting or significant cases of reproductive cell transfer that you have witnessed?

Every transport is essentially exceptional because we are transporting “life”. I look forward to hearing good news from satisfied clients that the treatment was successful…

How do you see the future of reproductive cell transport in light of new technologies and regulations?

New technologies can be an advantage for our work – for example, if the safe period for which reproductive cells are stored in shipping containers could be extended.

Do you think automation and digitalisation can replace some aspects of your work?

f AI helps us automate repetitive tasks, I will of course welcome it. We will thus devote all our energy to our clients and an individual approach each of them, as personalized care is the alpha and omega of our activities.
